# PoE Switch

This PoE switch from the Outdoor Router is designed to provide Ethernet connectivity and power over a single cable for up to 4 networked devices. It complies with the 802.3at PoE+ standard, supplying up to 30W per port. With a 65W power budget, it can power multiple PoE security cameras, VoIP phones, access points, or cellular routers over distances up to 250ft per port.

The switch features four Gigabit RJ45 ports, each auto-sensing for adjusting power allocation as needed. It offers plug-and-play operation with any Ethernet device without requiring configuration. The sturdy metal case is built to withstand harsh outdoor or industrial conditions while retaining silent and reliable operation.

Installation involves simply connecting the included power adapter to supply AC input, then running up to four shielded outdoor-rated Cat5e or higher Ethernet cables to devices that need network connectivity and PoE power. Spare non-PoE devices can also connect to use the available bandwidth. With up to 1000 Mbps throughput on each gigabit port, the switch facilitates building reliable wired backbones for bandwidth-intensive security cameras or rural networking applications.
